HONOLULU—With the preseason winding down, voters in the HondaReport.com Boys' Basketball Top Ten poll are showing minor signs of flippancy.
Voters hoisted Radford, a team that has given perennial powers like Kamehameha and Punahou close battles, to No. 9 in today’s rankings. Radford was 15th in last weeks polling.
Dropping out was Moanalua, last week’s No. 10 team. The Menehune are 12th this week.
Iolani remained a lock at No. 1, collecting all 13 first-place ballots. Punahou remained No. 2, but the all-Interscholastic League of Honolulu hold on the top three spots was halted. Kalaheo moved up to No. 3, a good 15 points ahead of No. 4 Kamehameha.
Mililani, Kaimuki, Leilehua, Saint Louis, Radford and Maui rounded out the Top Ten.
