KAILUA—It began with some not-so-good news for the Moanalua Menehune, and it ended with a dominant night for the Kalaheo Mustangs.

Sam Wilhoite pumped in 32 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked six shots as the Mustangs rolled in a 59-41 win over the Menehune Saturday at the Mustangs’ gym.

Kalaheo improved to 3-0 in O’ahu Interscholastic Association play (12-4 overall). Ranked No. 2 in the HondaReport.com Top Ten, Kalaheo’s next game is Tuesday at Roosevelt.

Moanalua dropped to 1-2 in league play. Sophomore Marquise Duvall, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, led Moanalua with 16 points and seven rebounds. Zach Pendergast added eight points, Eric Keys had seven, and the team’s leading scorer, Joe Nishimura, had just two
