He’s from Crenshaw High School, wears No. 37.and has had his fill of throwing-the-pylon highlights.

Abraham Elimimian, in the Lester Hayes numerals, is like a lot of A-type cornerbacks in Division I college football. He asks no quarter, expects none in return. Good cover man, so teams test his run-stopping skills.

He’s answered the call again and again. But he’s not exactly the man who tossed a pylon in frustration during an away game a few seasons ago. In fact, the 5-foot-10, 191-pound elite member of the University of Hawai’i’s secondary is more cerebral than reactionary, more from Nerdsville than Snap City.

In fact, he’s come a long way from Calabar, Nigeria.
