After several days of silence, officials of the HRCOFFL have finally released news for the fledgling second-year league.
The league hit its maximum limit on Monday with its 13th and 14th franchises. They were the Sabers and the Fence Sitters, who joined in after league commissioner Danny Cup Choy expanded the limit for a second time.
The HRCOFFL had originally planned to seek 10 teams, and neither Cup Choy or league founder Paul Honda were optimistic due to a late start. However, after starting the expansion on Thursday, the number exploded over the weekend. The acceleration and volume were so overwhelming that Honda is seriously considering the start of a second HRC league to accommodate more interested team owners.
"It's more of when than if there's a second league," said Honda, who sold the rights to his Ala Wai Barracudas franchise before this season. "I think the second league will cap out at 10 franchises, and if teams from the Ohana League (HRCOFFL) want to put in a second team, they are more than welcome."
The second league is likely to open later today under the name Hanabada Association of Perpetually Procrastinating Yaks, or the "HAPPY" league. League officials vehemently denied any knowledge of the new league's name, but any doubts about the new league were dismissed when Photobucket™ acknowledged that logos for both leagues were submitted this morning as uploaded images.
The Newsletter was able to obtain the logos from an anonymous source.

The logo for the second team doesn't seem to have the same Hawaii-style aesthetic. "Look, I don't appreciate you media people nosing into our business, you bunch of kumquats," said Vernon Hacienda-van Goghohdunce, lead graphic artist for BitterClarity Inc.
"But since you have the art, what the hell. We never planned on a second league logo. That's why you see such simplicity in the Ohana League logo, and it is native to the environment of your beautiful state," Hacienda-van Goghodunce said. "The second one with the yak, the league sprung the order on us so late, we just kinda slapped it together. Sheesh, there are no yaks in Hawaii, right?"

Honda says he will alternate the two logos for the Ohana League. "I prefer the one with 'Ohana' in aqua green, but they're both solid work by the artist. We're very pleased, and if the franchise owners are interested in potential logos for their teams, they can inquire with me," he said. "I'll see that Mr. Hacienda has ample time to develop more quality work, preferably without yaks next time."
