Some people will do anything to go home, even if the distance is 3,000 miles away.

The Bay Area Berzerkers could have joined any other fantasy football league, but they entered the HRC Ohana League. The catch? The Ohana League is based in Hawaii, while the Berzerkers, well ... are across the ocean.

That didn't stop the franchise's owner, Mr. Berzerker, who spoke with the Newsletter about Smallworld football, teri chicken and T.O.

Franchise: Bay Area Berzerkers

What is the attraction to fantasy football? When I play fantasy football, I become more "personally" involved in the games, especially the games in which my fantasy players are competing in.

What makes this league unique? Since I live in Northern California now, this league keeps me "connected" to Hawaii.

How did you come up with your team's name, and what does it mean to you? Bay Area Berzerkers = Bay Area is where I live now, Berzerkers sounds good with Bay Area and used to be the name of a youth soccer team in my soccer league when I was younger.

As a franchise owner, what would you like to say to the fans? Any game the Berzerkers are playing in, is going to be exciting!

What would be the perfect roster for your team? Manning, Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, Steve Smith, Harrison, Chad Johnson, Antonio Gates, Vinatieri, Chicago defense.

Resume time: What is your history of success (or lack of) in fantasy football? I've been very successful, when playing Smallworld Football, I won almost every year. The past two years playing Yahoo I came in 1st and 2nd (or 3rd, can't quite remember).

What other leagues have you been in? I used to play Smallworld Football, Baseball, Basketball. Now just Yahoo Football.

What is your favorite food? Teriyaki Chicken, maybe Spam Musubi.

How much time will you spend in preparation for the Sept. 4 draft? Maybe 2-3 hours, not too much.

Are you a deal maker or a deal hater? Why? A deal hater. At least a trade offer hater because most trades I've been offered have been unbalanced.

What is your take on the varied point modifications for this league? Sounds good, always willing to try another way.

Who is the player you love to hate/hate to love? You gotta love to hate TO.

Would you still draft or trade for him? Not really.

What player(s) do you refuse to acquire no matter what? T.O.

What team owner is your fantasy football hero? Not sure about this question, don't really know anyone else.

Who is your favorite NFL team, and what will you do to see them play in person? Broncos, I'd wear their colors and have a great time.

Who has the cutest NFL (or college) cheerleaders? Any team in the warmer areas, cause they're not covered up.

Where should the HRC Ohana Fantasy Football League hold its post-season "banquet"? NA to me since I wouldn't be able to make it anyway.

What would you like to see added or considered by the HRCOFFL? Seems pretty good so far.

How many teams should be the maximum? Fourteen is good, don't want to water down the teams too much.

How many leagues are you currently in? One.

Would you be interested in participating in a Madden 2007 league? NA, since I wouldn't be able to play anyway

Additional comments: Thanks for getting this league started. I look forward to competing against Hawaii's Best!
