POST-DRAFT REFLECTIONS

What was your goal coming into the draft? Did you have a gameplan before you saw the draft pick order? No gameplan because it depended on where I drafted.

Once you saw the order, did your strategy change? When I saw I was one of the last picks, my strategy was to make a dependable first pick (Rudi Johnson) and then basically pick guys who are primed to have breakout years the rest of the way. At least a couple of them will be busts, but all I need is for a couple to come through (like Larry Johnson last year). Hopefully down the road, maybe around Week 4, those guys will be trade assets.

How do you feel about the way your draft started and the way it finished? What grade would you give yourself? I was most excited with my middle picks...D Williams, D Bennett, L Evans, K Jones...some guys who might be huge this year. I'd give myself an A- factoring in where I drafted. I dont have a stud like a LT or Larry Johnson, but I have a lot of potentially great RBs and WRs.

Is there anybody on your roster you regret selecting? Is there anybody you regret not drafting? No one I regret selecting...I probably should have taken a defense earlier but it didn't match my strategy of stockpiling RBs and WRs.

How active do you predict you'll be with trading and free agents? Is there a specific position that you're looking to upgrade? I probably wont be offering any trades at least early on. I know that when I look at the guys I have on my bench, a few of them will be big time players by Week 4 or 5 and then the trading will start.

Looking at the rosters, who do you believe is the league favorite? In no particular order, I think the four best teams are HK, Sabers, Bay Area, and myself. Bay Area has a good team because he has a strong bench.
