By night (and morning), Scott Komatsu is on the trail of fantasy football excellence. The owner of the SportsHawaii.com franchise in the Pupule League shared his thoughts on secret weapons and all things fantastical.

Owner: Scott Komatsu
Franchise: SportsHawaii.com

What is your name/occupation/hobbies? Scott Komatsu / Hot Mix Asphalt Plant Manager (Grace Pacific Corp./
Basketball.

What is the attraction to fantasy football? Furthers the entertainment value of football and enables you to enjoy more than just your favorite team.

What makes this league unique? Paul Honda of course!

How did you come up with your team's name, and what does it mean to you? I am the owner/admin of www.SportsHawaii.com and wanted to represent them in this league.

As a franchise owner, what would you like to say to the fans? SportsHawaii.com No Ka Oi!

What would be the perfect roster for your team? A team filled with steady point getters with one or two players with big
point potential.

What will be the more likely, realistic roster for your team? One player with big point potential and 2-3 steady point getters.

Resume time: What is your history of success (or lack of) in fantasy football? Usually fare well based on a decent draft and understanding of the point system. Starts/Benches players based on opponent's defense, scoring potential (looks at Vegas line over/under), Home vs. Away and my secret weapon...the players biorhythm. Key injuries is about the only unrecoverable disaster, unless you get lucky on the waiver wire.

What other leagues have you been in? Usually play with close friends for big $$$ and a lot of side action.

What is your favorite food? Filipino.

How much time will you spend in preparation for the Sept. 4 draft? Not much, already prepared for an earlier draft a couple of weeks ago. Just need to update key injuries and note a few sleepers that did well in the pre-season.

Are you a deal maker or a deal hater? Deal maker. A deal maker that usually tries to provide a win-win situation in trades.

What is your take on the varied point modifications for this league? I like the larger penalties for negative actions, it makes the players more accountable. A QB who puts up big numbers but loses because of so many turnovers and incomplete passes should not fare better then a solid point getter that gives his team an opportunity to win on the field.

Who is the player you love to hate/hate to love? T.O.

Would you still draft or trade for him? No, he is too much of a risk but would consider taking him as second tier WR (4th round or later).

What player(s) do you refuse to acquire no matter what? None, there are always conditions!

Who is your favorite NFL team, and what will you do to see them play in person? San Diego Chargers, business trip during football season!

Who has the cutest NFL (or college) cheerleaders? Hawaii college, San Diego NFL.

Where should the HRC Pupule Fantasy Football League hold its post-season "banquet"? Willows.

What would you like to see added or considered by the Pupule League? A grand prize!

How many teams should be the maximum? 12-16 anything less makes it difficult for veteran FF players, because there are too many studs on each team.

How many leagues are you currently in? Two.

Would you be interested in participating in a Madden 2007 league? Yes.

Additional comments: Thank you for inviting me into this league, I'm really excited for the NFL season to start, good luck to everyone and Go Warriors!
