There was almost enough space for everything I wrote about Thursday's girls volleyball tiebreaker match between Kamehameha and Punahou. Here's what Buffanblu coach Jim Iams said after the three-set loss.

"You can lose by being afraid to win, but our girls went after it. I'm proud of them for that," he said. "In the third game, we remained aggressive, but they made the plays and we didn't. Kamehameha is still the team to beat."

Kamehameha meets Iolani this afternoon for the first-round, or regular-season, championship of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu

Punahou met Mid-Pacific in a second-round, or single-elimination tournament, match last night. The Buffanblu won 25-11, 25-21.
