Almost at the halfway point of the season already. So far, my six teams are in a range of very good to downright horrible. Sounds like their team owner, Egolofo Foodlemeister IV.
Ala Wai Foodlemeisters 3-3 (HRC Ohana)
IronChef™AlaWaiCanal 4-2 (Poppy Don't Play)
Ala Wai U-Drive Boat 1-5 (HRC Happy)
Ala Wai ToxiCudas 5-1 (HRC Pupule)
Ala Wai Park '76ers 0-5 (HRC Katoosh)
Ala Wai Moonrise 3-0 (HRC Aloha)
The U-Drive Boat team was a victim of my lack of preparation. As my first drafted team of the season, I totally sucked. Drafts went better as I went along, especially with my ToxiCudas and Moonrise teams.
The '76ers are not bad offensively, but it's my first team with defensive players. My lack of knowledge regarding defensive guys really shows. Badly. I'll be lucky to win more than two games in that league.
I'm optimistic about my U-Drive Boat team. I made a lot of changes since the draft, and since it's a league with only 10 teams, there was a lot of talent available on the FA list. I'm hoping the Boat team makes it to .500 by season's end or sooner.
I'm not even thinking of titles. There's so much freak luck involved. An injury here. A suspension there.
I've been busy with a lot of work lately, but I remain obsessed with my fantasy teams. No need for a 12-step support group here.
