HALAWA — Kickoff is a minute away here at Aloha Stadium. Just in case anybody thinks that my weekly football picks are strictly for Pupules.

I bring you picks from Nick Abramo of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, along with my own, and those of Stacy Kaneshiro and Wes Nakama of the Honolulu Advertiser.

Friday's games

OIA
Leilehua vs. Kahuku

Abramo: Kahuku 37, Leilehua 31. "Kahuku's gonna win on a punt return in overtime."

Kaneshiro: Leilehua 14, Kahuku 13. "Kahuku always misses an extra-point, even though they have a good kicker this year

Nakama: Kahuku 14, Leilehua 10.

Honda: Leilehua 27, Kahuku 26. "The Mules need a few breaks from officials, who normally let a lot of extra physical stuff go in the post-season. If the officials are going to call a lot of stuff in the secondary for contact, Leilehua has a good shot."

Mililani vs. Waianae

Abramo: Waianae 28, Mililani 27. "We can expect a good game because Mililani isn't happy with their loss to Waianae (during the regular season). Mililani looked like they were going to take another step back, but they didn't."

Kaneshiro: Waianae 28, Mililani 21.

Nakama: Mililani 17, Waianae 14.

Honda: Waianae 24, Mililani 20. "The Trojans will make a better showing than Aiea, which was shut out by the Seariders last week. They'll need a perfect game to keep up with Waianae and its stellar defense."

ILH
Pac-Five vs. Damien, Kunuiakea Stadium

Abramo: Damien 27, Pac-Five 12.

Kaneshiro: "I don't do D-II games."

Nakama: Damien 28, Pac-Five 21.

Honda: Damien 47, Pac-Five 30. Final game of the season for the Wolfpack, while the Monarchs can clinch the league's D-II state berth with a win.

BIIF
Division I
Waiakea at Keaau

Honda: Keaau 22, Waiakea 19. "This is the time for Keaau to step up and fulfill its potential. The Cougars had a rough start, but they are in position to make school history with two wins in the playoffs."

Division II
Konawaena at Honokaa

Honda: Honokaa 45, Konawaena 30. "Tough situation for the Wildcats, who lost quarterback Kawai Kanuha for the season with a collarbone injury in last week's home loss to Honokaa."

KIF
Kauai vs. Kapaa, Vidinha Stadium

Honda: "All the Red Raiders really need is to emerge from this game injury-free. The KIF title and state berth are already in hand."

MIL
King Kekaulike vs. Lahainaluna, War Memorial Stadium

Honda: Lunas 19, Na Alii 17. "King K is getting better and better. They could take the state D-II crown, but the best is yet to come."

Maui at Kamehameha-Maui

Honda: Warriors 33, Sabers 22. "Maui has wilted since preseason, with its roster half the size it was in camp. Warriors are out of the D-II picture, but want to close out strong and build momentum for next season — especially since tying Baldwin recently."

Saturday's games
ILH
Kamehameha vs. Punahou, Aloha Stadium

Abramo: Punahou 28, Kamehameha 14.

Kaneshiro: Punahou 17, Kamehameha 14.

Nakama: Punahou 17, Kamehameha 10.

Honda: Buffanblu 25, Warriors 23. "The Warriors have nothing to lose after a solid, but ultimately frustrating season in ILH play. Punahou, though, still has too many weapons offensively. Another close game in the works."

MIL
Baldwin vs. Pac-3, War Memorial Stadium

Honda: Bears 44, Titans 18. "Baldwin needs to get an early, big lead and sit its starters ASAP. That won't be easy against a stubborn Titan squad."
