There are very few other stocks that have the firepower of Baidu, which is aiming to become the Google of the Middle Kingdom.

Baidu had a supernatural run this week, and I have to wonder if Tuesday's run-up had anything to do with something that may or may not have been triggered by The Motley Fool. I got an e-mail on that day, a sales pitch (I'm not a subscriber) full of insistence that "The Next Google" is at hand.

TMF noted a Co that is below $5 billion in market cap but ready to dominate its niche the way Google did. Plus, when Google started out, it was already a $100-billion-plus Co, hence the huge opportunity in this "Next Google."

I don't know for sure, but how could TMF be talking about any other company BUT Baidu?

Hmm...

Disclaimer: Pupule Paul holds no position in Baidu.
