Down year at Punahou? They're ranked No. 3

A down year at Punahou? Perhaps, but they're still well-coached, and not too shabby at No. 3 in the state.
Star-Bulletin: Girls Volleyball Top 10
It's striking to think of Punahou and its depleted corps of talent. Liz Kaaihue and Larissa Nordyke were mainstays of the team for years. Now they're gone, and what? Punahou is still No. 3 in the Top 10.
There are some real questions about who will rise above the storm by the state tourney. Moanalua and Roosevelt are quite even (Roosevelt won their preseason match) though the poll has a 20-point gap between them.
Mililani has nice potential. I saw them play on Tuesday, and if they can keep improving, a state berth is not out of the question.
Seabury Hall is a definite X Factor. Several key players are back, including Yasmine Meyer, and they may be underrated by the Star-Bulletin voters. Are they the favorite in Division II?
Could be.
