Merry-go-round in hoops

Up and down, down and up. Now it's Punahou that falls.
Is it time for a new No. 1? Seems that way. The No. 1 team in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin Boys Basketball Top 10, Punahou, lost at home to Mid-Pacific last night, 66-48. This comes after the Buffanblu beat Iolani less than two weeks ago to regain the top ranking. That came after Iolani had previously lost to Punahou twice (once in league play).
In other words, Iolani and Punahou have owned the top spot since the poll began in mid-December. Now that both have two losses in league play, look for Kalaheo -- spotless in OIA Red East play at 10-0 -- to make a serious move up from No. 3. Will the brightly "oranged" Mustangs land at No. 1 for the first time this season?
My guess is no, but it will be very close pickings. The boys ballots aren't due until tomorrow (Monday), so voters will have some time to mull over their selection.
Polls are whipped cream. No real nutrition, but fun to eat and drink. What will I vote? I dunno yet. The girls Top 10 is what I'm in the middle of right now ... and Punahou just knocked No. 1 Iolani out of first place to take the ILH crown.
Decisions, decisions ...
