Summary: The first time I had a Fire Rock, it was warm and the taste was putrid. The second time, it was properly chilled and sensational. A true ale for the tropics, it has some nice carbonation going down, no funky aftertaste. Just crisp, just perfect with spicy pork rinds and smoked cheddar cheese. I'm surprised that I graded Fire Rock this high, but I can't deny how good it actually is.
The stereotype has its merit. Pale ales and lagers go better with warm weather. Stouts go with cooler weather. So does ramen, but that's another review to be written.
Pupule Paul enjoys a bottle of brew in the comfy confines of home once in a while before snoozing off into dreamland. Please don't drink and drive. The sirens would wake him up.
