Snoop de Coup

Yep, it's entertaining as heck. Once you get past the novelty -- one of rap's original bad boys starring in a family reality show -- it's subtly hilarious.

I just don't know about the episode about soccer and fried chicken. They'd have us buy the notion that Snoop Dogg likes, no loves, soccer. Seems like it was a setup to get David Beckham's name involved and reach out a little to the Latin American and European audiences on the E! network.

Can't blame 'em. But the fried chicken "problem"? I can see Boss Lady's concern, but if it were a chronic situation (no pun intended), Snoop would be fat, not a skinny toothpick. There's no beer belly, not even a double chin. But I do sympathize with his plight. How can he turn down great fried chicken (Roscoe's, they say)?

Anyway, Snoop Dog's Fatherhood is now one of the shows I DVR. The other find I came across lately is reruns of Homicide: Life on the Streets, but I mentioned that already.
