Power Outage & American Idol

Too funny. American Idol is just about to announce the winner between David and David, and power in Honolulu has just gone out. I was watching a rerun of Lost anyway. I don't really care who wins between the Davids. They're both great performers, different, but great. They've already got their futures in line. One David will be the standard power ballad/rock n' roller. The other will be the next Donny Osmond. My money's on the younger David to win (not literally). Too many teenybopper girls care enough to call in and vote. A little rain and the power's out. Next thing you know, HECO raises the price of electricity and more people move to to cheaper pastures on the mainland. According to AP Stylebook, "mainland" is supposed to be with a capital 'M.' Or was it my journalism teachers who stressed that to us at college? Can't remember. Anyway, power outages and 4-dollar gas be damned. I love my islands.
