What a pain in the ...

I started working on this BCS-formula polling for Hawaii high school teams yesterday while my nephew was at flag football practice. Two hours later, I'd have to say his team got more done than I did.

THIS STUFF IS A ROYAL PAIN IN THE A$$.

I mean, it's >layers of numbers upon numbers upon numbers. Yet there's something deep in inside me that wants to get it all done before the weekend's games begin. To do it right, I have to get the numbers down (added, divided, slit at the throat, ground to a pulp and dried under the sun for many hours). Numbers for every team in the state. That's 40-something teams.

There's a reason why the brainiacs like Sagarin have wired their spreadsheets to run the formula without the heavy lifting.

I'll do it. Or I'll just do what I reeeally want to do: create Hawaii high school teams on my NCAA 09, including rosters and playbooks. Yeah. You can see which of the two "activities" would be more fun, right?

Who wants to play Punahou vs. Saint Louis on my PS2?
