Best deal in town

I did the math in my head and it came out to 20 cents a day.

I guess people might assume (and they have) that I get a free subscription to the Honolulu Star-Bulletin just because I'm an employee. But I've never asked and I never will. Not in these times, not in the times before (when the newspaper was struggling even more) and not in the future.

It's always been a truly deep publication, back before I was born, right through the times when I delivered it on my route in Mo'ili'ili, straight to now. Quality people make a quality product. The 50 cents I spend more often than not to pick up a daily paper at the store is no big deal. Neither is the 1 dollar for Sunday's edition. So, when I saw the offer to subscribe for 75 bucks -- a whole year of daily delivery -- I said yeah baby.

If that sounds like a reasonable deal to you, go here and sign up. It's painless and you'll thank me later.

My first delivery is set for the 17th -- tomorrow morning. Man, I'm a geek, I guess. I'm excited.
