Kualoa Sugar Mill

There must be a photo or drawing of this mill when it was functioning. People worked hard here.

I've passed the old sugar mill at Kualoa countless times.

This time, on the way back from Kahuku, I decided to stop and take it all in.

Who doesn't like nature? Even growing up in town, some of my favorite sights were trees and views of the Koolaus.

I wonder where they got the rocks to build this structure.

Just a little plug.

The hat almost looks like it was photoshopped in, but it wasn't. Just sitting on the white fence.

I like this photo because what once was man-made has been ushered out by time, by the law of supply and demand. What's there now? The same thing that was there at the beginning. Foliage. Nature reclaims what was taken by man.

This little buggah wasn't at Kualoa. He was just cruising when I walked by. He got a little nervous at first, but he didn't need to worry. I'm not a hunter, and if I were, toad would be so not on my supermarket list.
