Some tough picks tonight.

No. 1 Saint Louis vs. Kaimuki, Kaiser Stadium. A real tough time for Kaimuki to face the most potent offense around, not to mention a stacked defense. Bulldogs had roughly 25 ineligible players last week. Pupule says: Saints 41, Bulldogs 14.

No. 5 Kamehameha at Kailua. Surfriders are tough with LB Calen Friel, but the Warriors are deep and could wear Kailua down. RB Ryan Ho is healthy and strong, a threat inside and on the perimeter -- containing him will be a difficult task for Kailua. Pupule says: Kamehameha 16, Kailua 7.

No. 7 Kapolei at No. 8 Waianae. The Seariders usually have Kapolei's number, especially at Raymond Torii Field. Neither team is completely healthy, though Waianae LB Chivas Paris could possibly return tonight after missing preseason with an injury. The Seariders faced a great QB last week (Saint Louis' Jeremy Higgins). Kapolei slinger Noah Pascua is another elite passer. Pupule says: Home field helps the Seariders, who will pull out a 31-28 win on a Terrence Akao FG.

No. 9 ‘Iolani at Castle. I wrote on the HawaiiPrepWorld.com blog earlier today that this could be a 3-hour game. I should've wrote that it might go 4 hours. Both teams love to throw out of the shotgun, and both teams have instant scoring threats. Right now, the Raiders are a bit sharper with a returning QB in Jarrett Arakawa. Pupule says: Tough to win on the Knights' field, but the Raiders will prevail, 41-28.

Waipahu at Campbell. Two West-side rivals are back at it in D-I. Waipahu returned to the OIA Red a couple of years ago, and Campbell petitioned successfully to go back up. The Marauders are very solid, system-wise, but Campbell has a playmaker or two more (re: Samson Anguay). Pupule says: Sabers 33, Marauders 28.

Kalaheo at Moanalua. Kalaheo has terrific athletes, but not much depth (21 players last week). Moanalua has numbers, but scored just one field goal against Mililani. Pupule says: Na Menehune squeak by, 13-12.

Kaiser at Waialua. Cougars have playmakers on offense. Bulldogs are finding themselves, but have a stud lineman in Graham Crowley. If Kaiser's run-and-shoot offense can score early, the running back crew is strong enough to milk that clock. Pupule says: Cougars 15, Bulldogs 10.

Hawaii Prep at Waimea. Never easy winning at Hanapepe Ballpark. Hawaii Prep has a solid team, but this will be really tough. Pupule says: Menehunes 24, Ka Makani 17.

Waiakea at Kamehameha-Hawaii. KS-Hawaii is D-II, but has been deeper than most BIIF teams for a few years now. Pupule says: KS-Hawaii 19, Waiakea 13.
