Down another few pounds the past week: 28 gone, 22 to go.
At 197, I'm starting to get comments from friends, old and new alike, that another 20-something pounds would be too much weight loss. Really.
Really? I think going back to my high school weight, 149, would be impossible and unnatural. But 175 is probably ideal, a good blend of exercise and quality eating. Staying at 197 or 200 while I keep exercising, would probably mean I've returned to eating more fried stuff, eat cheap frozen pizzas and drinking high-sugar beverages. I've had one beer this entire year instead of the usual one or two per week, which is another calorie saver.
Last night I had plain popcorn (small) instead of buttered at the movie. It wasn't so bad with hurricane mix (lots of msg and sodium, I know). Also had li hing pineapple and bottled water. No soda. I survived. This morning, I feel so much better than I normally would. After all, there's fiber in that popcorn.
