No sugar, no problem.

A long time had passed since I'd tested a non-Asian drink for my workout. Xenergy fit the bill. Sugar-free!

When I drank this, it was on Saturday night, after a long, tiring few days and nights of work. The sugar-free approach definitely helped me keep additional pounds off. I weighed in the next morning at 197, my lowest in years.

I burned only 336 calories on my usual 40-minute stationary bike ride. Part of that could be the three-day layoff. Part could be my fatigue. But I drank Xenergy during the ride, not before, and I'm starting to think that method isn't working so well now.

No sugar, good. No real huge boost, not so good. Overall, I like Xenergy but I'd take certain oolong tea or sugar-free Red Bull over Xenergy.
