The '76ers are not bad offensively, but it's my first team with defensive players. My lack of knowledge regarding defensive guys really shows. Badly. I'll be lucky to win more than two games in that league.

But his teams played with equal amounts of intensity and humility, a reflection of the man. The world is greedy, and I'm one of those who wish he was here for another 52 years. We should be thankful, though, that God let him be here for that long in the first place.

Junior is one of my new heroes. Think about it. How many of us make the commitment to work with 12-and-under basketball players in the fall, driving them 35 miles each Tuesday to play in a PAL league?
