- Aloha, condolences to Loo ohana
06/28/07
He never shorted a stock. He bought the best companies and held them for the long term. Simple and successful.
- Photos: Big Island
06/26/07
Some photos (just a few) from my recent trip to the Big Island. Hint: food....
- Googling the Big Island
06/26/07
All those miles I chugged in a series of beat-up old economy cars seem light years away, but far more earthy (no pun intended) thanks to Google Maps.
- Munarriz on leading edge
06/26/07
In an industry where professionalism and balance are increasingly hard to find – Barron's and even other contributors to Motley Fool have been amazingly imbalanced in their write-ups about CROX — Munarriz is currently among the best at weighing both sides of the fence.
- I'm not a coffee drinker, but I play one in real life
06/24/07
What's hurting the SBUX stock now though is a lack of growth. They need China more than ever.
Oolong tea, anyone?
- Amazon: Stepping into new turf
06/21/07
China is the apple of Bezos' eye, when he's not visualzing a landing on Mars, of course.
- Baidu: Chinese fireworks
06/21/07
I have to wonder if Tuesday's run-up had anything to do with something that may or may not have been triggered by The Motley Fool.
- Apple: Wheat from the chaff
06/21/07
Even if the iPhone is good, but not great, the Co is still poised to make inroads in that sector for the next few years.
- Bull run: Early summer update & additions
06/20/07
What separates Nintendo, which I had rated as a B until today, from the rest of the crowd is the Wii explosion in sales. Wii is going to dominate that space for several months, even going into Christmas. Wii has outsold PS3 5-to-1 in Japan.
- Opsware: Andreessen working magic again
06/19/07
It was just a matter of time before former Netscape guru Marc Andreessen's latest company approached global reach again.
- 4 years later, Paul Loo is still the King
06/16/07
Loo's big winner? SINA. A $10,000 investment would be worth more than $52,000 today. Holy China cash cow!
- Pupule finds more stock boomers
06/14/07
Precision Castparts might as well be a dusty old store in a desert town in Star Wars, next door to the popular, but violent honky-tonk bar. But it's not.
- HHSAA exec board: Bonus stuff
06/14/07
"That $2,500 doesn't come close to what we spend," Big Island Interscholastic Federation executive secretary Ken Yamase said.
- Post-HIADA withdrawl
06/11/07
Maui Fried Chicken may be on a different island in my case, but it is light, crispy and basic. Salt and pepper are in the chicken skin, lightly battered, and according to Brendan, pressure cooked.
- Country or not, the frappucino beckons
06/10/07
I went into DNDN thinking big results could happen in weeks. Now, I'm content to wait out this process, whether it hits a milestone this year, next year or 2010.
- In or out? The market is crazy
06/01/07
I think a correction happens sometime this summer. It has to. Logic dictates this. By then, though, AAPL could be at 130. Maybe 140. Possibly 150.
